Now you can vote for the Golden Boy Web award 2025

The Golden Boy Web was introduced last year, and it is kind of a sister award to the real Golden Boy Award. The difference between these to award is that that the winner of the Web version is decided by football fans voting online, while the real award is decided by journalist from some of Europe's major sport newspapers.
Last years winner of the Golden Boy Web
Last years winner of the Golden Boy Web was the Turkish and Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz. While Yildiz is an extremely talented player and is for sure someone who should be on the short list of potential winners, the fact that he did win the award shows the problem with these web vote awards. These web votes can quite easily be manipulated by either technical manipulation, or larger groups of fans and internet forum can push for voting for a specific player.
With that said, it is not likely that Yildiz would have won a correct web vote, especially since he was up against the real Golden Boy Award winner Lamine Yamal, who won it with a landslide.
Time to vote for Golden Boy Web
The Golden Boy Web award still exists though, and even though it might not be as prestigious as the original one, it might still be interesting for people to vote, and it is now time for that. The list of young footballers to vote for has been narrowed down to a hundred players, and noticeable is that last year's award winner (the real one) Lamine Yamal is on that list. So, while he can't win the real award twice, he can still win the Web one.
However, like last year's pattern it is the Turkish players that are the frontrunners to win, currently with Real Madrid's midfielder Arda Güler in top with 37% of the votes, and last years winner Kenan Yildiz second with 28%. In other words, we will likely see a Turkish winner this year too (kind of proving our point explained).
If you want to cast your own vote on Tuttosport you can do that here.
